An excited crowd gathered at the Microsoft Office in Waukesha on April 23rd to learn more about the enhanced features of Microsoft’s Unified Communications 2010. Milwaukee area technology leaders packed the room to see Concurrency’s Nate Lasnoski give a live demonstration of how companies can connect with people via IM, voice, e-mail, desktop sharing, or conferencing directly from Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and OneNote. “This gave us the best “real-life” examples of how we can cut costs on operating expenses,” says CIO of a Waukesha Financial Institution.
Also onsite were local area vendors Polycom, leader in communication devices, Enterasys, industry leader in networking equipment, and tw telecom, Ethernet service providers. Attendees were able to preview Polycom’s phone systems and Enterasys networking equipment. “We saw that there is a great interest in this product by the high turnout at the event,” says Polycom’s Channel Manager.
With a great response from everyone involved it is clear that Microsoft’s Unified Communications is the go to product for Milwaukee companies who are interested in cutting operating costs. http://www.concurrency.com/blog/category/unified-communications
