Microsoft Service Manager

Author by Nathan Lasnoski

Microsoft is releasing a product soon called Service Manager, a new addition to the System Center suite of products.  What is it?  It’s a tool that assists IT departments in addressing the process challenges around delivering IT services.

Frankly, it’s a tool that Microsoft has needed for a while because the industry has been screaming for an integrated, commodity priced, easy to use ITSM tool.  Microsoft is releasing a product that will deliver on the core requirements of an ITSM tool including:

  • Service Management
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management
  • Asset Management
  • Reporting and Data Warehouse
  • End User Portal
