Brookfield, WI, — August 24, 2012 —Concurrency, Inc., the 2012 Microsoft Central Region Partner of the Year, announced today an educational event co-sponsored with Microsoft to share knowledge about upcoming major releases of Microsoft enterprise products. The September 13 event will cover what IT directors and managers need to know about Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Office 2013, and Lync 2013.
Presenting for Concurrency will be Nathan Lasnoski, Infrastructure Practice Lead and Microsoft MVP, who addressed audiences at three major Microsoft conferences earlier this year: Microsoft Management Summit 2012, Microsoft TechEd North America, and Microsoft TechEd Europe.
Said Nathan Lasnoski, “Our clients tend to be very forward-looking. With Windows 8 and new cloud-based services, the Microsoft landscape is changing. We want to share what IT departments need to know now, as they plan their technology roadmap for the next 24 to 36 months.”
The event will focus on:
- Windows 8: Reimagined and Reinvented. It's an all-new touch interface. It's a new Windows for new devices. Walk through installation and setup, networking, compatibility, security, performance, and more.
- Windows Server 2012: Beyond Virtualization. From building and operating public clouds to delivering a highly dynamic and cost-effective server platform for the private cloud, it provides solutions to help you cloud optimize your IT.
- Office 2013: The Best Got Better. Get enterprise-grade security, side-by-side support for previous versions of Office, a streamlined update experience, and IT controls that let you manage Office on your terms.
- Lync 2013: Enterprise-ready Unified Communications. Keep everyone working together effectively, no matter where they are or what device they happen to be using. Lync delivers a new and engaging communications experience.
Every attendee will also be eligible to win a new Microsoft Surface tablet computer. The free event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on September 13. Attendees are invited to visit the Eventbrite Registration site for location details and to register.
