Project and Portfolio Management
Solution Overview
Concurrency’s SharePoint-based project and portfolio management tools use Microsoft SharePoint to manage your Projects and Project Portfolios – no matter the size of your organization or the complexity of its project management techniques.
Whether a small organization being first introduced …or a large organization well versed in the concepts of formal project and portfolio management, we believe SharePoint, leveraging Concurrency’s PPM template and workflow solutions, is the most flexible and useful platform upon which to organize and manage your projects.
- Collect project requests via electronic forms with rich, data-driven validation to promote and enforce company standards.
- Provide a flexible yet consistent process for analyzing and estimating project requests.
- Route project requests to the appropriate manager, steering group or committee for approval. Effortlessly build and deploy portfolio views and/or reports for executive managers.
- Give your team a dedicated web site to work on each project. The SharePoint site is created based on the size and type of project, and comes stocked with project essentials – planning documents, calendars, task lists, and other SharePoint tools. Best of all, sites can be customized based on any number of criteria (incl. projects size, type, department, milestones, etc.).
- Project status reports are filled out electronically. Details on project progress, estimates, areas of concern, and overall health are reported in Project Management dashboards and reports. Alerts and workflows can notify project stakeholders.
- Microsoft Project is fully supported. Project tasks and resource assignments can be synchronized between SharePoint and Microsoft Project. Your team can view and update tasks and the schedule wherever it makes sense – even right in SharePoint.
- Major Project events, such as change requests or project closure, are handled by automatic SharePoint workflows which collect and route key, standardized information.
- Powerful portfolio and project management dashboards show active requests, project details, project health, change orders, etc. …essentially any data element from any project at any time. Business Intelligence functions are greatly simplified with all request, estimation, forecasting, approval, scheduling, status, change and closing data in a common context. Nearly any report can be created, viewed, and even emailed automatically on any schedule you select.
