Banking Institution Banks on Concurrency

A federal savings bank headquartered in the Milwaukee with over 150 national retail bank locations suffered extreme efficiency issues with their project management resources.

In their normal state of operations, the project approval process had a number of cracks that cost the company a lot of time, effort, frustration and money. Where important projects fell to the wayside, sometimes undesirable projects were inadvertently approved – causing an extensive drain on resources.

Draining time and cash was not an option for this financial institution, so they turned to the experts at Microsoft Gold-Certified Concurrency to whip their methods into shape.

With over 20 years rooted in enterprise content management, the team at Concurrency partnered with the bank to devise a strategy leveraging their existing Microsoft toolset comprised of Office, Outlook and SharePoint to develop a framework of automated tools for collaboration and communication.

Concurrency’s Project Management Office (PMO) tool, implemented on the Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) platform, included a collection of electronic forms, workflow and alerting components, reports, and dashboard status views.

This PMO solution provided the enterprise company with a much cleaner, more consistent, safer, lower risk process for queuing, selecting and managing projects.

Improved project management…improved productivity…improved information accessibility…an improved bottom line.
